Cameron and Mekhi did a great job of installing a crawl drain and sump pump. They arrived on time, worked diligently, and completed the job sooner than was expected. All the while they answered my questions and provided a complete walk (crawl) through at the end. They were courteous and tried very hard to be sure I was pleased with the work. Excellent work by both of them!

Brian and John was so professional, crawl space looks so much better, and they cleaned up their scrap. I'm anxious for a damp free crawl space. Robert and Steven, James and Brandon all did a very good job with the basement waterproofing. Everything looks so good and they cleaned their scrap too. Can't wait for a damp free basement. Seth Brown, the inspector that gave us the quote was very nice too. I recommend Tar Heel Basement to anybody. Their staff is great.

My husband and I purchased a home only to find out after we closed that was literally falling down around us. After calling several companies and being told it was beyond the scope of what they could handle, we found Tar Heel. If I had only known then what I know now I would have saved myself so much time and stress and called Tar Heel FIRST. Paul, who came out originally, the Structural Engineer Bobbie and Ronnie the Project Manager were able to put a plan together to save our home. They genuinely treated our home like their own. The Foreman Gary Hacker and his Technicians Sam Jarvis and Dalton Brown who came out to do the work (along with Cory and Axel) were professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. My home will be able to stand for another hundred years because of their work. Thank you, Tar Heel.

After an annual maintenance service of our crawl space encapsulation and at the suggestion of Grant we decided to move forward with a plan to stabilize an area of our foundation that was weakened for some time. Tyree and Christian came out two days later to install beams and jacks to secure that part of the foundation. Tyree explained everything that was going to happen, what it would do to stabilize the foundation, and how long it would take. Everything went very smoothly and I went into the crawlspace to inspect the work and learn how the system would add support to the foundation. Tyree explained in terms I could understand. Both men were professional and finished in the time they laid out. This is my second experience with Tar Heel and both went well.

This review applies only to the person, Lisa, that helped complete our project. Our encapsulation project took over a year and a half to complete. It was a long process of phone calls not returned, emails not answered, and follow up not done. But, once Lisa became my contact, she made sure that everything was done when it was supposed to be done. That included multiple trips to fix problems found in inspections, multiple county inspections, and a refund for electrical work that I paid for twice. When Lisa said it would happen, it did. What a refreshing change from the previous 16 months. Great job, Lisa!

Tarheel basement systems did an awesome fixing the foundation at my house. The crew that came out to my house (Adam Canter, Ryan Oldman, and Jayden Watlington) where very professional, well mannered, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained things in an easy to understand kinda way. I can't believe there was ever an issue with my foundation to begin with. They did such a good job and cleaned up well behind them that i had to look to find the repair. I will definitely recommend them to people in the future.

This is just in the beginning stages. What I am rating the company on currently is the Certified Field Inspector John Dounoucos. John has been to our home twice. The first time was last week to learn what my concerns were and then quote me on the work that was needed. The first thing I would like to mention is John arrived on time and was very thorough and went over all the processes required. I told John I would be getting a second quote before making any decisions and he was good with that. The one thing that means the most to me is, John was NOT pushy, there was NO hard sell and NO you have to sign now or the price could change. John followed up with a text a few days later and we had just finished with our second quote. The price from the second company was fairly even, but I liked John's approach and the scope of work for this project. Looking forward to seeing how the job goes! I feel confident it will meet the high standards John outlined for us!

TarHeel Basement Systems is your go to for crawlspace issues and foundation repairs. From ordering the free inspection all the way through the end of the job my experience was smooth. Their communication was on point and if I ever had questions throughout the process I was able to call and get piece of mind. They worked around my schedule and I even had to push back my install date for personal reasons, they worked with me through it all, no questions asked. Rob Philips was the inspector and gave me a very detailed report of what was going on and talked me through the best solutions. The job site crew, Ian A., Ian B., Ethan, and Justin were very efficient and personable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They made a stressful situation for me and my family very smooth and I’m thankful for their work!

The team that did the encapsulating our crawlspace was Derrick (Foreman), Onyx and Jordan. They were great and professional. They were prompt and once they arrived they went straight to work. They unfortunately were working when it was raining and cold. Derrick kept me up to date on their process and provided pictures every day. One important part for me was that they would clean up at the end of the day. I would highly recommend them.

If you need foundation work done, do yourself a favor and request Jay Yount at Tar Heel Basements. I had several companies come out, and Jay was the only one who approached my sagging floor issues with real expertise and a no-nonsense attitude. He spent hours carefully analyzing the problem and provided an honest, straightforward assessment with zero pressure. It's clear he takes pride in his work and values doing things the right way. More companies need people like Jay, and if his management is smart, they'll make sure he's moving up.

My Service Tech Matthew K did an awesome job identifying the problem (water seepage) and finding a way to address it without breaking the bank (a sump pump system). The foreman Grace H and her team were able to come out just a week or two after I scheduled the work, and they were fantastic to work with — on time, professional, friendly, and very patient even though I had a lot of questions. I would definitely recommend Tar Heel — I feel like this is one of the best investments I've made in my home.

My inspector, Carter Lassiter, was very professional and educational in helping me understand exactly what I needed to have done underneath my house to ensure my 100 yr+ historical home remained in tact. Prior to Carter coming out, I had paid another company to do what I thought was going to fix my crawl space and unfortunately after one year I started to see issues arise again. Wood rot, moisture, etc. When Sam and Josh (the production team) arrived, they were just as professional and informative of the work they would be doing in my crawlspace. I felt confident from the first inspection all the way to the production team who completed the work to correct and truly fix my crawlspace. Having a warranty from Tarheel Basement makes me feel much more comfortable this go round compared to who I used before. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND

I went with Tarheel Basement Systems to have my crawlspace encapsulated. I liked the Sean Madden gave but I have to admit the follow up was spotty. I was given dates work would be done but I had to call to find out exact times. I expected a little more communication but, in the end, Tarheel showed up when they said they would, and they did the work they promised. Macai and Fred did a great job encapsulating the crawlspace. I'm pretty picky and I went down and inspected things myself. There is no way I could have done a good a job as they did. The work these guys do is grueling in unsavory conditions. I had a small issue with the crawlspace door and dehumidifier pump, but both were fixed in short order. In the end I'm happy with how things turned out and I would recommend Tarheel to anyone looking to get their crawlspace encapsulated.

We recently had an encapsulation of our crawlspace. We called Tarheel Basement and John Reavis came out to assess our needs. John was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He offered solutions to our problem without any pressure to buy. After meeting with John we knew that this was the company that we wanted to do business with. Brian Carey along with Leo and Stephon were scheduled to do our crawlspace encapsulation. They showed up on time and Brian went over the work details for each day. These hardworking guys did a great job for us. We couldn’t be happier with the results. It looks amazing. Eric Townsend also came out to go over the installed equipment. First I met with Jeff about Crawlspace encapsulation. He discovered 2 rotten floor Joice. Replacement of those as well as encapsulation was very reasonable. They sent out Andy and Elijah who were very efficient and considerate. The other half of the space was an open basement area. The main front wall was so wet mortar was easing out. Jeff recommended a french drain with a pump. Edward and Jeremy were not only respectful but explained every step . Thank you Tarheel Basement Crew !!

I expressed concerns about a couple of items not specifically mentioned in the contract and he assured me they would handle it. When the job was complete Juan and I inspected the entire space.
