John, the Field Inspector; Sarah, the Project Coordinator; and Tom and Tyler, the Installation Technicians, were all simply outstanding in their professional knowledge, skills, and expertise. Their communication was flawless in keeping me informed about the schedule and all details of the process.To find cracks in the floors of one’s home is a very unnerving experience, but to find such responsive and excellent professionals to successfully repair the situation leaves one completely reassured that the serious issues have been completely resolved.From the initial inquiry to the completion of the project, my experience is that Tar Heel Basement Systems is simply the Best in the Business in terms of total customer satisfaction and service. Big big shout out to the guys who came and did all the work under my house, they didn’t complain or fuss the entire four days they were here, job was done professionally and in a very timely manner, highly highly recommend this company for any kind of work you need done on your basement/crawlspace. We recently had an encapsulation of our crawlspace. We called Tarheel Basement and John Reavis came out to assess our needs. John was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He offered solutions to our problem without any pressure to buy. After meeting with John we knew that this was the company that we wanted to do business with. Brian Carey along with Leo and Stephon were scheduled to do our crawlspace encapsulation. They showed up on time and Brian went over the work details for each day. Cannot say enough about the good experience we had with Justin and his crew of Demarte, Quentin and Harry. They were punctual, called before arrival and all were friendly and appeared to be Jgenuinely glad to do the job. Justin explained what they would be doing and answered all questions before starting work. His team was efficient and completed the job much faster than we anticipated. Justin was very diligent in making sure our floors were leveled to his and our satisfaction and we were very pleased to see cracks between the ceiling and wall disappear. He was absolutely phenomenal, and reaffirms why I choose Tar Heel basement and am able to have peace of mind and put my trust in this company. Jeffrey Traub came out the day after I called the company. I had a large tree root that appeared to be going under my house and I was concerned it could cause cracks in my slab. He was on time and very thorough in examining my house. While he didn't find any problems he did spot a couple of issues for me to keep my eye on. He also explained I probably had lots of tree roots going under my house and that I just couldn't see them. My neighborhood had been built on land that was heavily wooded. He also explained HOW they fix a SLAB house that has foundation problems. I had envisioned all sorts of nightmare scenarios such as having to move all my belongings out and having my new floors ripped up. Luckily that is NOT how they repair it. Just knowing if that horrible day ever came where I would need their services, that it wouldn't be the nightmare I had thought, put my mind at ease. Jeffrey's explanation of the care they take to preserve my flooring while making repairs was very reassuring. The person who set up the appointment was also very thorough in asking questions to determine what the issue might be and which serviceman to send. Since I don't have a basement or crawl space I never thought I could have foundation problems. I was wrong but luckily I do not have any at this time and thanks to Jeffrey I am knowledgeable about what to look for in order to catch problems in their early stage when it is easiest and cheapest to fix. I would definitely recommend this company and suggest you ask for Jeffrey Traub to come to your house.

The installers did an outstanding job encapsulating our crawlspace, installing a dehumidifier and sump pump. It looks lovely! Ken, Stephen, and Jael were knowledgable, courteous, personable and professional. The job was completed in 2 and a half days. They hauled away the old liners and left the site spick and span. They kept us fully updated on the process. We also appreciated their attention to detail. They supplied us with a photo of a plumbing issue under the house of which we were unaware. Thanks to their help, we can get this taken care of before it gets worse. Thank you Ken, Stephen, and Jael for your careful work.

He answered all our questions and offered solutions without pressure to buy. We knew after meeting with John that this was the company that we wanted to do business with. The guys just wrapped up at my house today. Tylor, Andrew and Stephen did a great job. They were prompt, communicated well and were happy to answer all of my questions. Corey was quick to come out and get a plan of action, which was much appreciated. With remodeling my home I’ve found it’s rare to have a great crew that executes as planned, arrives when scheduled, and leaves things cleaner than when they started. Tar Heel has just that. After an annual maintenance service of our crawl space encapsulation and at the suggestion of Grant we decided to move forward with a plan to stabilize an area of our foundation that was weakened for some time. Tyree and Christian came out two days later to install beams and jacks to secure that part of the foundation. Tyree explained everything that was going to happen, what it would do to stabilize the foundation, and how long it would take. Everything went very smoothly and I went into the crawlspace to inspect the work and learn how the system would add support to the foundation. Tyree explained in terms I could understand. Both men were professional and finished in the time they laid out. This is my second experience with Tar Heel and both went well.

Devin arrived on time (1200 noon) just like he said would. I was pleasantly surprised that the inspection included inside and around the outside of the home, as well as the crawl space. I'm glad that no major issues were found . I was impressed with his level of professionalism, as he went as far as to literally record his findings into a slide presentation. He even went as far as to seal around the door to the crawl space in an effort to ensure the possibility of water no longer pooling by the door. I'm very pleased that the encapsulation done by Tarheel Basement Systems is still holding firm. Devin showed me what Tarheel Basement Systems can do for me regarding insulation. Though I'm not ready to make this move now, Devin has given something me to think about.

I went into this basement project a little nervous, it seemed like a big commitment to put this amount of trust into Tar Heel Basement Systems. We had a long term problem with water ponding in the crawl space underneath our home anytime it rained. We had multiple people come out to try and diagnose the source of the leak, but none of them were 100% certain. Tar Heel Basement Systems blew me away immediately. The inspector, Dave Brereton, came out and within 15 minutes had identified the root cause as well as a plan to fix it. A few weeks later, the crew came out and completed the job in under two days. The difference is unbelievable. From Dave to the install crew, this company knows their stuff and conducts themselves professionally. A great experience, and I encourage anyone with similar problems to give them a chance. Thank you Dave and crew!

So I spent a LOT of money to ensure my crawl space was properly protected and encapsulated. I had both Charles and DJ who worked non stop to complete the entire job within a day. They did an excellent job and helped me inspect the crawl space myself (yes I crawled around, sheesh!) These guys were hard working, thoughtful and diligent! Thoroughly impressed from start to finish! It took 6 weeks to get the installation appointment (post hurricane) but we received texts periodically during that time confirming our appointment. Was nice to know we hadn’t been forgotten about! JACOB C and TERRENCE A did an exceptional job!!! They were on time, professional, polite, honest, knowledgeable and kept us informed of the progress throughout the day. Job was started on 12/23 and completed early the next morning on 12/24; you would have never known they were working just before Christmas – their attitude was GREAT! Restoworx did a fantastic job with mold remediation. JOHN D. did our inspection and walked us through the purchasing process. He was honest, professional and fantastic to work with! All in all – EVERYONE was great to work with. Our crawlspace looks amazing! I’m not afraid to go under the house any more. Professional, courteous and prompt. We will definitely call Tarheel for any future needs!!

What was impressive was the communication of when they would arrive and when they were leaving. I decided on a complete encapsulation. Extremely pleased with the work. And the follow up from the office to confirm I was pleased with the job.
