I had many apprehensions about the job wondering if I made the right choice of contractors but when Juan S. and Alex S. rolled up to my house I was immediately blown away by their openness and politeness. They were genuinely honest in their accessment and actually told me that the treatment might not work and gave me choices of one was " no charge" and left with a smile which in turn gave me a little bit more of faith in humanity. I was very pleased with the service that that John, Jr and Brady a performed. John went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. He is a very knowledgeable person and knows what he is doing. I enjoyed talking with him he is a very good people person. If I were to need any more service from this company I would definitely ask for Jr. He made sure that my doors would all latch due to jacking up the floors and made all the necessary adjustments to see that they did so. Nyles walked me through all the work they were going to do, he clearly explained it and was very patient with me, and all my questions; even as I crawled around their work space, they took the time to answer all of my questions. As an artisan I can tell when someone has done good, mediocre or bad work. Even if you don't know the work itself, you can tell by how the work is being performed, executed and completed; the detail and dedication to the work itself. From the annual inspection, Nick suggested we consider adding foundation wall insulation in the crawlspace as we did not have any under the flooring and we did have this on our list to check into. He was professional and thorough. Now the hard part, the install…team was lead by Nestor Bautista and they were on time, explained/showed exactly what they would do and how. They were all friendly, professional, cleaned up completely and finished a bit quicker than expected. Nestor then walked us through the install and provided pictures of all the crawl space areas. Now the payoff, felt almost immediately warmer in den area and am sure this will provide more efficient HVAC for us. We are a Tarheel customer for over 8 years now, from Stephen Peterson to their regular service techs, Nick Harmon, to their install teams…we will be a customer for life.

We just had our yearly maintenance and inspection visit for our basement gutter system. The technician, Devin Hunt, was great! We had the crawlspace encapsulated and a dehumidifier installed a few months ago. The crew did a great job. Very neat, and very professional. Today Joel came out to answer a question I had about the dehumidifier. He answered my question, AND did a full reinspection of the space and equipment, just to make sure everything was right! Like everyone else we've worked with at Groundworks, Joel was very professional, and friendly. He communicated his plan for the visit, and went over the results. Overall, a great experience!

I talked with 3 companies regarding a moisture/mold problem in my basement and was most impressed with Tar Heel Basements. The initial inspector was thorough and knowledgeable, spending more time checking my foundation both inside and out than Tar Heel's competitors. He answered a lot of questions and assisted with the interest free financing. It was an expensive repair that I was very stressed about, but Tar Heel made it as easy as possible. Once the scheduled week arrived, the technicians provided advanced notice of arrival each day, and showed up on time or early. They kept me informed throughout the process and answered numerous questions. They hung plastic to protect my belongings from the dust and advised regarding their findings (such as termites) as they removed walls and insulation. They coordinated with the electricians for installing power to the sump pump and made sure they cleaned up. Tar Heel kept everything clean and even mopped my floor once the work was completed. I'm very appreciative of Nathan Griffin, Zac Mathis, and James Passmore for their hard work, and the care and consideration they provided while working in my home.

We are very satisfied with our decision to have Tarheel basement systems encapsulate our crawl space. From the sales rep(Daniel Pike) to the installation by Robert Hacker,Austin Moody and Kenny we received in our opinion very professional services. The 3 gentlemen that performed the installation kept us informed and communicated exactly what they were doing from the time they were in route to the time they finished each day. They were very efficient, productive and the quality of their work was excellent! They were polite and respectful! I doubt that there is another company out there that can match the excellence of Tarheel basement systems!

We used Tarheel to address our foundation issues with the installation of several vertical piers. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them, start to finish. The sales process was super transparent, and prices came in MUCH lower than other providers. Other providers had made recommendations that really weren't necessary, and we really appreciated our rep, Clint, explaining everything to us in a detailed, consultive manner. Even after the sale and the work was done, he still took the time to get back to me very quickly with a couple of final questions. Our install crew, led by Josiah, I believe his name was, was fantastic. Showed up when they said they would, went over the game plan, answered all my questions, and got everything done in one day. The office staff were also very helpful and even reached out to make sure we were completely happy. I wish all of the contractors we have for home projects could operate at this level! Great work!

Foreman David P and crew mates Ernesto "Nestor" and James C were knowledgeable and efficient, arrived on time and got the job done in two days. Results of the floor stabilization were communicated to me clearly before, during and after the work was performed. All my expectations were at least met. This review applies only to the person, Lisa, that helped complete our project. Our encapsulation project took over a year and a half to complete. It was a long process of phone calls not returned, emails not answered, and follow up not done. But, once Lisa became my contact, she made sure that everything was done when it was supposed to be done. That included multiple trips to fix problems found in inspections, multiple county inspections, and a refund for electrical work that I paid for twice. When Lisa said it would happen, it did. What a refreshing change from the previous 16 months. Great job, Lisa!

When an issue came up concerning the crawlspace door, they made sure to contact the manager and a custom door was made for the space. The Foreman, Shane English introduced his team Evan Boswell and Jaziah Christ to me. They were courteous, hard working, kept the job site clean and organized. We used Tar Heel Basement Systems repair a rotted sill beam on the front of our 100+ year old house. From the time Clint showed up to do our estimate untill the crew left having completed the work it was a great experience. Clint was very thorough and ensured we understood everything before he left. When the crew arrived the Foreman, Evan spoke in terms I as the homeowner could understand. He went over everything again and made sure I knew the scope of work, the time line, etc. Matt and Cody did a great job. They made quick work of getting all the old insulation out of the crawlspace. They all did a great job with the structural work and that did one last walk around and picked up all the old insulation down to the smallest pieces. Very professional crew
