I talked with 3 companies regarding a moisture/mold problem in my basement and was most impressed with Tar Heel Basements. The initial inspector was thorough and knowledgeable, spending more time checking my foundation both inside and out than Tar Heel's competitors. He answered a lot of questions and assisted with the interest free financing. It was an expensive repair that I was very stressed about, but Tar Heel made it as easy as possible. Once the scheduled week arrived, the technicians provided advanced notice of arrival each day, and showed up on time or early. They kept me informed throughout the process and answered numerous questions. They hung plastic to protect my belongings from the dust and advised regarding their findings (such as termites) as they removed walls and insulation. They coordinated with the electricians for installing power to the sump pump and made sure they cleaned up. Tar Heel kept everything clean and even mopped my floor once the work was completed. I'm very appreciative of Nathan Griffin, Zac Mathis, and James Passmore for their hard work, and the care and consideration they provided while working in my home.

They were punctual, called before arrival and all were friendly and appeared to be Jgenuinely glad to do the job. Justin explained what they would be doing and answered all questions before starting work. His team was efficient and completed the job much faster than we anticipated. Justin was very diligent in making sure our floors were leveled to his and our satisfaction and we were very pleased to see cracks between the ceiling and wall disappear. Juan, Alex, and Hayden recently encapsulated our crawlspace. Juan explained the process and reviewed the scope of work before they started. I expressed concerns about a couple of items not specifically mentioned in the contract and he assured me they would handle it. When the job was complete Juan and I inspected the entire space. It was clean and they did a professional grade job. This crew was great to work with.

On our one year follow-up inspection, items were identified and promptly corrected. Our front porch had settled about a 1/2 inch since it was raised. Jess W and Zach B came out and FULLY explained everything they were going to do. They went about their job immediately and completed it in short order, with NO shortcuts. They explained to me why it had settled in a year's time and what it would take to fix it. They quoted me the price and it was extremely reasonable compared to me having to acquire the materials and tools to do it. It LOOKS GREAT! We could not be more pleased. Thanks so much Jess and Zach!

First I met with Jeff about Crawlspace encapsulation. He discovered 2 rotten floor Joice. Replacement of those as well as encapsulation was very reasonable. They sent out Andy and Elijah who were very efficient and considerate. The other half of the space was an open basement area. The main front wall was so wet mortar was easing out. Jeff recommended a french drain with a pump. Edward and Jeremy were not only respectful but explained every step . Thank you Tarheel Basement Crew !!

This is just in the beginning stages. What I am rating the company on currently is the Certified Field Inspector John Dounoucos. John has been to our home twice. The first time was last week to learn what my concerns were and then quote me on the work that was needed. The first thing I would like to mention is John arrived on time and was very thorough and went over all the processes required. I told John I would be getting a second quote before making any decisions and he was good with that. The one thing that means the most to me is, John was NOT pushy, there was NO hard sell and NO you have to sign now or the price could change. John followed up with a text a few days later and we had just finished with our second quote. The price from the second company was fairly even, but I liked John's approach and the scope of work for this project. Looking forward to seeing how the job goes! I feel confident it will meet the high standards John outlined for us!

I went into this basement project a little nervous, it seemed like a big commitment to put this amount of trust into Tar Heel Basement Systems. We had a long term problem with water ponding in the crawl space underneath our home anytime it rained. We had multiple people come out to try and diagnose the source of the leak, but none of them were 100% certain. Tar Heel Basement Systems blew me away immediately. The inspector, Dave Brereton, came out and within 15 minutes had identified the root cause as well as a plan to fix it. A few weeks later, the crew came out and completed the job in under two days. The difference is unbelievable. From Dave to the install crew, this company knows their stuff and conducts themselves professionally. A great experience, and I encourage anyone with similar problems to give them a chance. Thank you Dave and crew!

After looking under the house, he provided what was recommended, showing pictures of his findings & explained what the recommendations would do for our home. Gary Hacker Aiden Bennett Michael Mayes Tore out and replaced the foundation crawlspace boards put in supports and floor jack's. What an amazing job! Personable kept me informed diligently did their work. Ate lunch in the truck let me know when they were on the way and arrived. Asked me if I had questions. Went over the work they did showed me pictures. Explained. They never said anything bad about the one that previously did 30k worth of work. These young men worked hard under the house all day long. My home is like new again. Can I adopt you young men? I commend you for your work ethic and integrity. I'm so grateful. Thank you. Floors are even my cabinets do not have space between them and the ceiliing. Doors are even. Whoop hoo. They replaced joists and made my house solid forever.

From the time I called to request an initial revie, until the work was completed, this process was professional and convenient. Zack came and crawled around in the very tight crawl space during the initial examination and then scoped the work and cost same day with me. John C and Brian C were the service representatives performing the installation of the membrane and foam board over a two day process. These guys worked so hard and kept me informed on status the whole way. I gave 5 stars because I've had lots of service jobs performed at my home and this team and the work done exceeded my expectations.

Tarheel basement systems did an awesome fixing the foundation at my house. The crew that came out to my house (Adam Canter, Ryan Oldman, and Jayden Watlington) where very professional, well mannered, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained things in an easy to understand kinda way. I can't believe there was ever an issue with my foundation to begin with. They did such a good job and cleaned up well behind them that i had to look to find the repair. I will definitely recommend them to people in the future.

They unfortunately were working when it was raining and cold. Derrick kept me up to date on their process and provided pictures every day. One important part for me was that they would clean up at the end of the day. I would highly recommend them.
