According to the American Red Cross’s Blood Facts page, somebody needs blood every two seconds. With this high demand, there can never be too many donors.

The most commonly requested blood type is Type O Negative which can be transfused to any patient, no matter their type. Donor blood is not only used for accidents or injuries. Individuals with sickle cell disease and cancer patients enduring chemotherapy will also benefit greatly from your blood donation.

Please come out this Monday to our Winston-Salem office at 2910 Griffith Road to save some lives and give back to the community. Delicious cookies and refreshments will be offered for each donor to refuel. Make sure to eat iron-rich foods and hydrate this week before donating, and don’t forget your photo ID! Tar Heel Basement Systems thanks you in advance for donating your time, your energy, your love and your blood to make a lasting difference in the community.
