It has been two months since Tar Heel Basement Systems has prepared a meal at the Ronald McDonald House of Winston Salem, but as soon as the employees stepped foot in the kitchen, they felt right at home. Our commitment to cook a meal could not have come at a better time, as the RMH staff informed us that they had a full house last night! The chef’s for the evening were THBS Systems Design Specialists, Craig Sechrist and Garrett Atkinson, alongside marketing mavens, Kelsey Fox and Jackie Hoffman.
Team Tar Heel has implemented a wellness program within the company and wanted to create a healthy menu for the families staying at the House. Last night’s menu consisted of: a tossed salad topped with grilled chicken, pears, walnuts and feta, a summer pasta salad and a baked potato bar. We certainly hope the families enjoyed the light, summer spread because we sure had a great time preparing it! We are already planning and looking forward to cooking at the Ronald McDonald House next month.
