Tar Heel Basement Systems has been fortunate enough to build a partnership with First Call Cleaning and Restoration out of Burlington. While Tar Heel Basement Systems specializes in moisture control and mold prevention, First Call has been in the mold remediation business since 1989.

Josh Moore, now Owner of First Call, came on board in 1999 as a cleaning technician. He has worked every Job the company offers, but mold remediation and duct cleaning became one of his passions. Josh has more than 15 years of experience in the field and is certified in IICRC Advanced Water Losses, Fire Restoration, and IOT Mold Remediation.

This past Monday, Josh and Chris Blalock, of First Call, came to our Winston Salem facility to offer our System Design Specialists a course on the mold. The training lasted about 3 hours and discussed Mold, Moisture, and Your Home. This EPA guide covers residential mold and the best ways to prevent mold growth.

The Tar Heel Basement Systems team is always up for continuing their education so that we can better assist our customers. Some of the topics of discussion during the training were: reasons mold grows, health concerns, mold cleanup, and actions to reduce humidity & condensation in the crawl space and basement. This additional knowledge, the Tar Heel inspections team can offer our customers the best solution for improving indoor air quality and preventing mold!

A big thanks to First Call Cleaning and Restoration for taking the time to offer our employees this mold course. We look forward to continuing to build this partnership and helping many more homeowners with their issues.
