Ronald McDonald House Volunteers

One of the perks of being a part of the Tar Heel Basement Systems team is the company-paid community service hours. Each employee is offered (5) paid hours to get involved with the company’s community service initiative. The THBS “Pay It Forward” program was conceived in 2013 and has flourished into an established initiative that many of our employees love to get involved with.

A few of our new team members were excited to help out this week with one of our most established outreach programs. For the last 2 years, every month our team cooks a meal at the Ronald McDonald House of Winston Salem for the families staying there while their children are receiving treatment at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

With the House at full capacity, our team of chefs were thrilled to prepare a home-cooked meal for the families. The menu consisted of gourmet “Sloppy Joe’s,” macaroni & cheese, and a garden salad.
