Tuesday, June 7th, 2016

We hear over and over again about how important workplace culture is to a business’ bottom line. How do growing companies keep their staff happy and productive, while increasing profits? It is that simple- profits will inevitably increase if a business can find and keep the best people.Tar Heel Basement Systems is apart of the 2016 Best Places to Work in the Triad Business Journal

The Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work Award” digs a little deeper to find out which Triad businesses have mastered the art of workplace culture. This week the Business Journal revealed the best large, midsize and small companies to work for in the Triad.

How were the “Best Work Places” selected? The employees participated in a scientific survey by research firm Quantum Workplace. This survey measures 10 key engagement categories focusing on items such as team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation, and benefits.

Tar Heel Basement Systems is proud to be named as one of the honorees in the Midsize (50-199) category. Tar Heel Basement Systems Owner, Pete, prides himself on running a business that changes people’s lives for the better- customers and employees.

When Pete was asked the importance of being considered a “Best Place to Work,” he stated that “employee retention is the holy grail, which is why a healthy culture isn’t “nice to have,” it is a MUST HAVE. It impacts everything from our employee’s experience, to how they deliver service, to how our customers perceive us. And a customer experience directly impacts the bottom line.”

Tar Heel Basement Systems joins 5 other Triad businesses in the midsize category and extends congratulations to each of them. Triad Business Journal will honor the finalists and reveal the top scorers in each category at an awards reception on June 22.
