In order to show appreciation for all of the employees and showcase outstanding achievements, Tar Heel Basement Systems held their 2nd annual company picnic on Saturday at Cove Creek Park.
The highlight of the picnic was the great turnout of attendees this year, nearly doubling the number of people at last year’s picnic. The Tar Heel Team has grown immensely over the last year, expanding from 9 employees to 23. We were in good company as most of the employees brought their family and pets to the celebration.
Tar Heel Basement Systems employees and family members enjoyed awards, music, cornhole, basketball and delicious food. Overall, it was a day filled with friends, family, food, fun and fantastic weather.
OThe owner Pete Burgess handed out awards for outstanding achievements:
Employee of the Year – Scott Ledford
Salesperson of the Year – William Blake
Rookie of the Year – Mary Leach
Hero in the Home – Josh Schoenfield
Call Center Booker Award – Chelsea Krick
Total $ Volume Installed – Scott, Robbie and Roy
Total $ Generated Per Man Hour – Scott Hopkins
Hot Dog Award – William Blake
The traditional company cornhole tournament was held after the award ceremony. Production Manager, Anthony Cass, is the reigning company cornhole champion and lived up to the title on Saturday. He and Radon Specialist Scott Hopkins, beat out Service Technician, Herman Massengill and his son, Michael, for the championship.
The 2nd annual company picnic was a huge success and the Tar Heel Basement Systems Team looks forward to the 3rd annual picnic next year!
