Tar Heel Basement Systems has been recognized for their contributions and donations to the community over the past few years. This year was no exception! Tar Heel Basement Systems registered a four-person team in two separate golf charity tournaments in the month of September. To add to the contribution, Owner, Pete Burgess sponsored a hole on the course for a monetary donation.
The first golf tournament was the 17th annual High Country Home Builders Association Golf Tournament held at Boone Golf Course. All proceeds from the event went to Habitat for Humanity, scholarships and the HCHBA Building Fund. Tar Heel Basement Systems’ foursome included Owner, Pete Burgess, System Design Specialist, Kent Dunn, Crew Foreman, Josh Schoenfield, and Production Manager, Anthony Cass.
The Tar Heel Basement Systems team was also privileged enough to participate in the “Last Chance Golf Tournament” held at beautiful Linville Ridge Country Club. The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to host this fundraising event for its 21st year in a row, and Tar Heel Basement Systems was proud to be one of the many sponsors.
All proceeds for the “Last Chance Golf Tournament” go to support the ongoing programs of the Chamber – educational business workshops, special events, networking opportunities, etc. It is one of the biggest fundraising events for the Chamber. Owner, Pete Burgess, Production Manager, Anthony Cass, former Crew Foreman, Jason Cook, and guests were fortunate enough to enjoy a day of golf on the breathtaking Linville Ridge Golf Course to benefit the success and development of the local economy.
