The High Country Women’s Fund is a non profit organization established to help women and children in Watauga and Avery Counties. The goal of this incredible organization is to affect positive change by inspiring, educating and empowering women moving towards self-sufficiency. Through local resources and community support, HCWF allocates all funds directly to women in need.
Each year the High County Women’s Fund holds fundraising events to raise money, friends and awareness of these needs in our community. This year marks the 6th anniversary of the HCWF and they are happy to announce that they have distributed over $414,440 to women in need.
One of the largest fundraisers put on by high Country Women’s Fund is the annual Power of the Purse Luncheon at the Blowing Rock Country Club. This extravagant event brings together some of the most influential women in the area to help make a difference in the lives of women in the high country. The success of this event relies heavily on the support from local businesses. Tar Heel Basement Systems is proud to be the Silver Sponsor for this important luncheon and hopes to help change the lives of many women and children in the community.
Tar Heel Basement Systems is the leading basement, crawlspace and foundation repair company in the high country and always makes an effort to help out the community. To learn more about the High Country Women’s Fund and how you can help too, please visit their site.
