Tar Heel Basement Systems School Supply Drive

Thursday, August 8th, 2013

Tar Heel Basement Systems will be holding a school supply drive for The Educator Warehouse for the month of August.  The Educator Warehouse, part of Forsyth Education Partnership, is a facility where teachers can “shop” for supplies to use in their classrooms.

Teachers spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pocket annually to provide supplies for their classroom and create an environment for children to thrive in. This program was established to help assist teachers with these expenses. The Warehouse contains new and gently used classroom supplies that are donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the community. Teachers are welcome to four visits per school-year (once per quarter) and can shop for a designated amount of supplies during each visit. All supplies are free of charge for these incredible educators!

Tar Heel Basement Systems is Joining in the cause to support our teachers by holding school supply drives in Winston Salem and Boone. Employees, customers and members of the community are encouraged to come by either office to drop off any donations for the Educator Warehouse.

All classroom supplies, literature, decor, etc. are needed, but here is a list of core supplies in demand. Monetary donations are always welcome, as well. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

If you would like to make a donation to help support the students and teachers, please come by either of Tar Heel Basement Systems drop off locations:

Boone– 206 Southgate Dr (Next to Hunan)

Winston Salem– 2910 Griffith Rd.
