Business North Carolina Magazine 2014 Small Business of the Year
Awarded on Friday, December 5th, 2014
Business North Carolina magazine hosted their 19th annual Small Business of the Year Award luncheon at the Graylyn International Conference Center in Winston Salem, NC. The award ceremony is to honor North Carolina’s top small businesses that have not only contributed to the state’s economy, but have been an innovator in their industry.
In order to be in the running for this prestigious award a company must have an owner that is still actively involved in the business, fewer than 100 employees, independently-owned and been in business more than five years. Other contributing factors in choosing the winners are community involvement, growth, employee retention and innovation. The 2014 winners are Highland Brewing Co., Tar Heel Basement Systems, Wray Ward and Archer Advanced Rubber Components. Highland Brewing Co. was named the top winner, but all companies were recognized and honored at the luncheon on December 5th, 2014.
Congratulations to Tar Heel Basement Systems and the rest of the winners. North Carolina is fortunate to be represented by such incredible, growing small businesses such as these four.
