Forsyth County Governor's Volunteer Service Award
Awarded on Thursday, April 9th, 2015
Tar Heel Basement Systems has been nominated for the 2015 Forsyth County Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. The award honors citizens, companies, and groups who have shown significant concern and compassion for their neighbors through volunteer service.
The Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards were first awarded by the Governor’s Office and its Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service in 1979. In Forsyth County, the awards were coordinated for over a dozen years by the United Way. HandsOn NWNC coordinates the awards as part of their mission to strengthen the community by increasing volunteerism and building the capacity of local nonprofits.
An award breakfast honoring all of the nominees will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Bryant Hall at Salem College. The award winners will be announced at this time. Learn more about Tar Heel Basement System’s philanthropic efforts and the other nominees here.
