Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year Nomination

The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce held their Small Business Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 16th at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center. The Chamber has been celebrating the small business community through this annual recognition for more than 25 years.
There were 9 award categories and Deborah Hooper, President of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, presented the awards to the 2013 winners.
Pete Burgess, Owner of Tar Heel Basement Systems, was nominated for the 2013 Small Business Person of the Year Award. Pete has successfully grown his small business during these tough economic times, helping thousands of homeowners throughout the Piedmont Triad, High Country and SW Virginia. Over the last year and a half, Tar Heel Basement Systems has expanded from 13 employees to 35, extended their service area and opened a second office location.
Pete’s determination to become a trusted household name for basement, crawlspace and foundation repair has not only put him in the running for the 2013 Small Business Person of the Year, but also created jobs and helped numerous customers in need.
