Case Studies: Tar Heel Basement Systems in Boone, NC

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

Homeowner has an outdated leaky basement. Dampness behind the wall panels was an obvious sign of water intrusion in the basement. They needed to waterproof the basement so that they can use it as a studio office and bonus room. In addition, they wanted to update the look of the room by adding new wall and ceiling paneling.

Tar Heel Basement Systems was able to kill both of those birds with one stone. They addressed the water issues in the basement by installing a full perimeter BasementGutter System with a SafeDri Sump Pump. An exterior addition that was installed to keep water out and add to the aesthetics of the basement was the Basement Window Enclosure. This offers an attractive solution that keeps rain out, prevents weeds from growing inside, and reflects lots of natural light into the basement. The Tar Heel Basement Systems crew was able to transform this outdated basement by installing the Insulated Wall System first. Then the Wall Panels were attached to the insulation system to create the perfect finished look. The ceiling problem was solved by installing our Linen Ceiling Tiles, bringing a sophisticated look and making the entire room look larger. In the end, Tar Heel Basement Systems was able to provide the homeowners with a completely dry and aesthetically pleasing basement.
