August 10th, 2017 - Local company will represent North Carolina small business in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Chamber's "Small Business of the Year Awards." Winston Salem-based Tar Heel Basement Systems is one of 17 finalists from across the nation to be honored at the Small Business Summit in September.
July 28th, 2017 - Tar Heel Basement Systems & Watauga County "Project on Aging" teamed up to bring multiple generations together at the first annual Senior Field Day. Six employees of THBS volunteered their time to set up and host a day full of activities & games for around 20 of Watauga County's seniors at the Lois E. Harrill Senior Center.

"We believe that employees are our most valuable asset, and when we say that, it is more than just words to us. We strive to bring out the best in our employees and help them see a better version of themselves. This wellness day is just one way that we can help accomplish that."
June 14th, 2017 - The Tar Heel Basement Systems team was able to donate more than 500 lbs. of dog food, 10+ dog beds, 15+ food & water bowls, treats, kitty litter, blankets, cleaning supplies, toys and treats to the Stokes County Animal Shelter this week.

A handful of our employees are volunteering at ABC of NC, an organization that specializes in working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD/autism). This volunteer experience hits home for our team because some of our employees have children with special needs. We may be the leaders in crawlspace, basement, and foundation repair- but we are redefining this industry by giving back to our community and being more than just a contractor.
February 6th, 2017 - Founded in 1981, Feeding America Southwest Virginia has a continuous goal to end hunger throughout the region. Tar Heel Basement Systems partnered with Feeding America SWVA to join in the fight against hunger!
December 13th, 2016 - Tar Heel Basement Systems, Northwest North Carolina's "All Things Basements" contractor will be the "guardian angel" for 50 children this holiday season. As part of the company's Pay It Forward Initiative, the THBS team has erected their 2016 ANGEL TREE and partnered with the Potter's House FRC of Winston Salem to provide holiday presents to 50 children in need.
November 22nd, 2016 - Parts of North Carolina have gone well over a month without rain, which is causing wildfires and wells to run dry. August 8th, 2016 - Each year Tar Heel Basement Systems selects a local organization focused on the education and development of our youth, and we donate hundreds of school supplies to their cause. This year, we have selected Forsyth Family Services to be the recipient of our team's generous donations. Family Services has been promoting school readiness of children ages 3 to 5 years old from low-income families since 1965.
June 21st, 2016 - Tar Heel Basement Systems will host its 3rd annual Blood Drive for the American Red Cross on Friday, June 24th. The mobile Blood Bus will be parked at the "All Things Basements" facility at 2910 Griffith Rd, Winston Salem, NC 27103 from 10:00-3:00.

April 19th, 2016 - Tar Heel Basement Systems will be hosting a free 1-hour seminar for local engineers on Wednesday, April 20th from 12:00-1:30.
