The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics honors companies whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure that the organization’s practices meet the highest standards of ethics, and consequently generate trust. These companies generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers, and their communities.
The Torch Award is open to for-profit, 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) non-profit organizations of all sizes physically located within sponsoring BBB service areas. However, a company is only eligible if it has been in business for at least 3 years, earned a “B” rating or better from the BBB and have met their financial obligations.
The Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina’s award ceremony will be held this Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 4:00-6:00 at the Hickory Room at Bib’s Downtown in Winston Salem. Winners of the 2015 Torch Award will be judged in one of four categories based on the number of employees: Over 175, 51-175, 11-50, and 1-10.
