Tar Heel Basement Systems wanted to give back to a local animal organization in need, and thanks to the recommendation of a loyal customer, the team was able to donate more than 75 items to the Stokes County Animal Shelter this month.
The Stokes County Animal Shelter is a small, rural shelter in Germanton, NC that is loaded with wonderful animals that are available for adoption. The shelter is currently at full capacity and is only taking in neglect and abuse cases in the area. Recently, the shelter has transferred under the umbrella of the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, which has offered them much needed support, but they still rely heavily on community donations.
Tar Heel Basement Systems employees spent the month of May collecting supplies for this humble yet admirable shelter. Over the span of 2 weeks, the THBS team was able to donate more than 500 lbs. of dog food, 10+ dog beds, 15+ food & water bowls, treats, kitty litter, blankets, cleaning supplies, toys, and treats. The officers at the shelter were extremely grateful for the generous donations.
