In the last year Tar Heel Basement Systems has extended their service area east to Raleigh and into SW Virginia, exemplifying their staying power as an established and growing business.
Growing from 2 employees to 25 in 2012, having a 58% sales increase from last year to date and moving into a larger facility are some of the reasons that Tar Heel Basement Systems was chosen for this prestigious award. Additionally, Tar Heel Basement Systems is privy to innovative sales and marketing tools, training, internet support, and state of the art products. All employees have the opportunity to take advantage of cutting-edge training seminars for each facet of the company and every year to attend the Annual Convention at the Basement Systems headquarters in Connecticut.
Tar Heel Basement Systems has given back to the community in many different ways. First, they have donated 15 crawlspace encapsulation system installations to Habitat for Humanity; a retail value of around $30,000. Other monetary donations this year include, Boone Service League, Make A Wish Foundation, Blue Star Mothers of the High Country, Watauga Parks & Recreation, High Country Soccer Association, Children’s Cancer Society, and the Special Olympics.
Additionally, each year Tar Heel Basement Systems participates in the Chamber of Commerce and High Country Home Builders Association Golf Charity Events to contribute.
Tar Heel Basement Systems is a proud member of the Boone Chamber of Commerce, hiring and retaining local employees, never utilizing outside labor. It is a goal to utilize as many local resources as possible, which is why the Marketing Coordinator for Tar Heel Basement Systems has head-started a Pro Partner Program. It is a referral system that offers discounts to local realtors, contractors, engineers, home inspectors, and other civic organizations. It is not only to help grow other local business, but to create a relationship with other local organizations.
Lastly, a partnership has been established with the local university as Tar Heel Basement Systems sponsors the athletic program and offers internship opportunities to students.
