Small Business Center Hosting Disaster Seminar

This month the SBC is holding a workshop at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC to discuss "Disaster Preparedness for Small Businesses". The goal of the workshop is to inform small business owners how they can be proactive in preparing for an emergency, as the High Country is prone to inclement weather. An expert panel will be present to give small business owners first-hand knowledge on how to help protect their business and/or home from natural disasters.

Winston-Salem, NC - January 21st, 2014

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College hosts seminars throughout the year to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in North Carolina. The SBC at Caldwell offers continuing education and training, counseling, referral and information to prospective and existing small businesses throughout Boone, NC and its surrounding areas.

This month the SBC is holding a workshop at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC to discuss “Disaster Preparedness for Small Businesses”. The goal of the workshop is to inform small business owners how they can be proactive in preparing for an emergency, as the High Country is prone to inclement weather. An expert panel will be present to give small business owners first-hand knowledge on how to help protect their business and/or home from natural disasters. Tar Heel Basement Systems owner Pete Burgess will be one of the panel experts and will weigh in on how basement and foundation work affects homes under these conditions.

The workshop will be held at Chetola Resort – Evergreen Room on Wednesday, January 22nd; 11:30-1:30. Lunch will be provided so be sure to sign up today.
