Why the SafeDri Triple Sump Pump Trumps all Other Sump Pumps

Friday, December 13th, 2013

The King of sump pumps is the SafeDri triple sump pump system. This top-of-the-line system has three sump pumps in one sump liner and can assure that your basement stays dry, even during the nastiest of storms.

Pump 1 is a 1/3 hp pump and will do the bulk of the pumping very efficiently most of the time. Pump 2 is a 1/2 hp pump set a bit higher in the sump hole that turns on in the event that the first pump can’t keep up or if it fails. This second pump is more powerful and has a separate discharge line to give you that “turbo boost” in those rare cases that you need it. Pump 3 is a SafeDri battery operated pump that kicks on if the power goes out.

The SafeDri triple sump pump system includes a sturdy liner for the sump pump with holes in it to accept water directly from the ground as well as a larger inlet hole to allow your perimeter drainage system to empty into it. Additionally, an airtight lid prevents water from evaporating out of the sump hole into your basement, stops stuff from falling in that can clog the pump or switch, and quiets the system. Lastly, a floor drain is in the sump lid to drain water if you have a plumbing leak and the water floods out onto the basement floor. A specially designed cup and ball are placed underneath the lid’s floor drain which allows water to go down, but doesn’t allow air to come up.
