The newly constructed home in Banner Elk, NC had a crawl space built without foundation vents. In order to pass building code, the crawl space needed to be completely sealed, have a dehumidification system and a drain to daylight – a task that Tar Heel Basement Systems was ready for.
Tar Heel Basement Systems installed the patented 20mil CrawlSeal™ Encapsulation System, completely separating the home from the exposed dirt below. The Tar Heel self-draining dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity levels low and prevent mold growth. To keep moisture from taking over the area, the SafeDri™ sump pump system was installed to pump moisture out of the crawl space and away from the home. The newly constructed home has passed inspection and is ready for move-in day!
