This Southern Triad homeowner became victim to bad contractors who over promised and ultimately became part of the problem instead of a solution. After having multiple contractors working on her home over the span of 10 years and never resolving her issues permanently, she turned to Tar Heel Basement Systems for reliable help.
System Design Specialist, Trevor Lord, completed a full inspection of the crawl space. Trevor was tasked with designing the proper solution for this homeowner’s nightmare–fixing ground water seepage and controlling the active moisture which will prevent mold, wood rot and odors. Tar Heel Basement Systems was ready for the challenge of meeting all of this homeowner’s expectations!
Since this crawl space was in dire need of an extensive amount of work, this job took a couple of installation crews to complete the tasks. Foreman, Adam Blake, and crew member, Lorenzo, installed new crawl space supports, and replaced the rotting subfloor, bands and floor joists. The first crew also had to install a steel beam running parallel to the girder, due to the girder “rolling’’ and being too unstable for the new IntelliJack supports. The second crew did a complete energy-saving encapsulation; installing X-Grade Crawl Space Insulation, CrawlSeal liner and Tar Heel dehumidifier. This will lower humidity levels, preventing mold growth and the SafeDri™ Sump Pump System will eliminate ground water seepage.
Tar Heel Basement Systems was able to completely transform this scary, dirty crawl space to a clean, conditioned storage space.
