As many parents, students, and teachers know, the school year is approaching fast! Now is the time for teachers to ready their classrooms, create lesson plans and prepare their students with the tools to flourish. Unfortunately for some, these things cannot be checked off the to-do list without a little help from the community. Tar Heel Basement Systems is proud to announce that we will be holding a school supply drive to “Pay It Forward” to help ensure a successful year of learning and growing.
Cooperation between the Guilford Education Alliance, Guilford County Schools and the Welfare Reform Liaison Project have given us all an opportunity to come together and donate school supplies to the Teacher Supply Warehouse at 2601 Greengate Drive in Greensboro. Public schools across the United States have suffered massive budget cuts leading teachers across the country to spend between $500 and $800 per year to make sure each student has the supplies they need.
The Teacher Supply Warehouse is a place where teachers all over the area can come and “shop” for free supplies to take back to their students. Come by and donate some of the listed materials below and know that you will be filling a local classroom with the tools they need to succeed. You may bring any donations to our Winston-Salem office here at 2910 Griffith Road right off of Hanes Mall Blvd.
