The Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina 2013 Marketplace Ethics Awards luncheon was held on Thursday, April 18th at the Embassy Suites in Winston-Salem. This prestigious award was given to companies and non-profits that exemplify the importance of corporate conscience and the responsibility to uphold a fair and honest marketplace.

Hundreds of companies and non-profits were nominated for the award, but only a few were recognized. Pete & Will’s Tar Heel Basement Systems received an Honorable Mention in the 11-99 employee category for the Ethics Award. Holding an A+ rating with the BBB for 8 years, Pete proudly accepted the honor from David Dalrymple, President and CEO of the BBB of Northwest North Carolina.

BBB Student of Integrity AwardsIn addition to the Ethics Awards, the BBB gave out Student of Integrity Awards. This annual scholarship program is to honor high school seniors who personify positive ethical standards through leadership, community service, overall integrity and academic excellence.
