Photo Album: Winston Salem, NC- Sinking Sidewalk Raised

Album Description

Before Tar Heel Basement Systems arrived, the homeowners were dealing with an inch and a half drop between their sidewalk slabs, causing not only an eye sore but a major trip hazard. With a budget set in place, the homeowners needed a solution that would eliminate the trip hazard without excavation to their yard. Total slab replacement was not an option.

Tar Heel Basement Systems restored the home's sidewalk by injecting PolyRenewal beneath the slab through two penny-sized holes. Once injected beneath the slab, the polyurethane foam expanded, stabilizing and lifting the slab back to the appropriate level. Within an hour's time, the homeowners were able to use their sidewalk again with no worry of falling, giving them peace of mind.
