Photo Album: Lexington, NC Crawl Space with Mold, Moisture & Structural Issues

Album Description

This middle unit of a 3 unit condo in Lexington, NC was experiencing wood rot, mold and falling insulation due to high moisture levels in the crawl space.  Additionally, there were some major settlement issues; squeaky doors, cracks in the drywall, walls pulling away from ceiling, the staircase was pulling away from the wall and the floors felt unbalanced.

Tar Heel Basement Systems removed the old, ineffective plastic and pulled all of the floor insulation from the crawl space. Next, they installed X-Grade Crawl Space Insulation panels and sealed the space with CrawlSeal vapor barrier. Lastly, the installation team installed (9) IntelliJack crawl space supports to stabilize and potentially lift the floor system back to a level position.
