drainage matting

Drainage matting is a dimpled polyethylene membrane that is installed on top of the exposed earth/concrete and underneath the CrawlSeal liner– an antimicrobial plastic that prevents mold and bacteria growth. The primary reason for installing drainage matting is to create an air space to allow water to flow under the CrawlSeal liner toward the sump pump.

Drainage matting is also recommended for homeowners who want to use their crawl space for storage. It adds as an extra support for the CrawlSeal to keep the liner from ripping or tearing when items are moved on top of the CrawlSeal. Some crawl space floors have a rough terrain, which can be a mixture of concrete, dirt and gravel. The matting will prevent the gravel from affecting the CrawlSeal.

When drainage matting is installed with CrawlSeal, you have a powerful combination for a healthy crawl space.
