At Tar Heel basement systems we strive to improve the lives of everyone we encounter by inspiring our employees to live the Golden Rule and challenge industry standards each and every day! It is for this reason that we have recently partnered with 2 organizations that have the same passion to help homeowners as we do.
Tar Heel basement systems’ owner, Pete Burgess, has teamed up with a few other foundation contractors to head start an organization designed to create a more ethical structural repair industry. Too often, homeowners are taken advantage of by foundation contractors without the proper knowledge, training or products to truly solve their foundation problems. To this end, the Foundation Repair Association of North Carolina (FRANC) was established in 2015. The association’s primary objective will be to improve our industry through education and communication. A secondary objective will be compliance of national, state, and local regulations. FRANC will establish a compliance mechanism to enhance the consumer’s experience with our industry.
In addition to helping homeowners with foundation concerns, Tar Heel Basement Systems is on a mission to make homes healthier and more energy efficient by educating the community and building industry about the benefits of a closed crawl space. Since 2003 we have been creating energy efficient crawl spaces in northwest North Carolina with our patented CrawlSeal crawl space encapsulation system. We have partnered with North Carolina Building Performance Association who has the same passion for closed crawl spaces. NCBPA works to improve the quality of homes and buildings in North Carolina so that all residents and businesses can live and work in healthy, safe, durable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly homes and buildings.
We are excited to be a part of these significant organizations and hope that through education, ethics, and passion, Tar Heel Basement Systems can make a difference in many homes and lives!
