PolyRenewal™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Avery home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.

Our experts use PolyRenewal, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyRenewal. Crawl Space Receives Energy-Efficient Transformation in Linville, NC
Falling insulation, open foundation vents and an exposed dirt floor due to a deteriorating vapor barrier were creating a nasty crawl space that was causing the homeowners power bill to go up during the winter months. Tar Heel Basement Systems created an energy-efficient sealed space by removing all the debris and falling insulation. The interior foundation walls were sealed using the X-Grade Crawl Space Insulation panels that reflect heat back into the space. Sealing off the home above from the exposed dirt floor, the CrawlSeal Encapsulation System created a closed cell. The last step was preventing mold growth, installing the Aprilaire self-draining dehumidifier to work collectively with the CrawlSeal System and X-Grade Crawl Space Insulation. The Linville, NC homeowners are looking forward to cooler weather and a lower energy bill.
Crawl Space Repair in Montezuma, NC
High humidity and moisture had taken over the crawl space of this mountain home in Montezuma, North Carolina. The homeowners were in need of a professional company to remove their molded fiberglass insulation and stop the moisture in their crawl space. Tar Heel Basement Systems proved to be the right company for them. System Design Specialist, Sam Summerlin, completed a thorough inspection of the crawl space. While in the crawl space, the relative humidity was measuring at 79.2%, the perfect combination humidity and moisture to produce mold. Noticing the mold had already taken over the space, there would be no saving the fiberglass floor insulation. However, the floor system itself would be okay if the crawl space was sealed in a timely manner. The installation team began the crawl space repairs by removing all debris, old vapor barrier and failed insulation. Installing the 20mil CrawlSeal Encapsulation System instantly provided the crawl space with relief from moisture. All foundation vents were sealed and the home was separated from the exposed dirt below. To ensure the mold would not become active again, installing the Aprilaire dehumidifier was a must. With a built in humidistat to keep humidity levels below 55% the dehumidifier is energy-efficient and effective. The homeowners are no longer smelly musty odors throughout their home and have noticed a savings in their energy bills already just by having their crawl space sealed using the CrawlSeal System.
Drainage Matting Stops Seepage in its Tracks in Newland, NC Basement
Crawl space problems can be disastrous not only to a home, but also financially if not taken care of. Dan W. in Newland, North Carolina discovered a serious water seepage issue in his crawl space and with nowhere left to turn, Dan contacted the professionals at Tar Heel Basement Systems to come out and inspect the problem. Tar Heel sent out waterproofing specialist Anthony Cass to Dan’s house.  After surveying the crawl space, Anthony decided the best course of action would be to prevent the seepage at the source.  Anthony recommended the installation of drainage matting on the floor of the crawl space.  This specialized matting prevents water seepage and water vapor from penetrating into the crawl space.  For extra precaution, a Tar Heel dehumidification system was also installed in crawl space to guarantee that it stays dry all the time. After a quick one-day installation process, foreman Scott Ledford and his crew finished installing the waterproofing products.  Dan’s crawl space is no longer a victim to water and moisture problems that haunt many crawl spaces in the United States.  If you’re having a problem with your crawl space, don’t hesitate to call Tar Heel Basement Systems today for a free estimate!

SafeDri Super Sump and BasementGutter Prevent Future Water Damage in Newland, NC
Homeowner Bruce. A found himself in a tight spot when water began flooding his basement.  Bruce knew that he needed to find a waterproofing company who could repair his wet basement and prevent future flooding in his Newland home.  He eventually came across Tar Heel Basement Systems, who he contacted for a free estimate. Waterproofing specialist Ronnie Whittaker from Tar Heel arrived promptly to inspect the problem and recommend the proper solutions.  Ronnie took a look at Bruce’s basement and found that water was seeping in from the foundation, causing flooding to his basement.  After some deliberation Bruce and Ronnie came to an agreement on products that were both cost efficient and effective.  Ronnie explained that a SafeDri super sump pump was a must to remove water from the basement and keep it dry.  This sump pump is top of the line on the market, with the ability to pump 2220 gallons out an hour, comes with an eight-foot discharge line, and will keep any home water free for years. In combination with the sump pump, a BasementGutter drainage system and FreezeGuard discharge line were recommended.  The BasementGutter is installed along the perimeter of the basement to catch incoming water seepage and direct it towards the sump pump.  The sump pump then discharges the water through the FreezeGuard which prevents the water from freezing even in the coldest of winters.  Primary foreman Brett Bond and his crew were called in to complete the installation process. Thanks to the professionals at Tar Heel Basement Systems Bruce’s basement is drier than ever and will stay that way through even the heaviest of rain storms. And what’s better? The waterproofing system took only one day to install!
