PolyRenewal™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting
The sunken and cracked concrete around your Trinity home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyRenewal, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyRenewal. This homeowner in rural Trinity, North Carolina was enjoying retirement at his beautiful home on a large man-made pond when he noticed that the retaining wall had developed a perilous bow towards the water. He told the call center that the problem had developed over the 5 years since its initial installation. The wall was made of landscaping blocks which are not necessarily meant to hold back that much soil and a concrete driveway.
Sam Agnew, one of our sytems design specialists, visited the property, surveyed the wall and recommended the use of 10 Basement Wall Anchors to extend from the retaining wall to the other side of the driveway. Josh Watson and his crew finished the project in just two days. They successfually pulled the wall back as much as they could and secured it in place. The anchor rods were drilled underneath the driveway to use the soil in between the plates as a driving force while tightening.
This use of the wall-anchors is unique but will keep the retaining wall sturdy for many years to come. The homeowner will now be able to fish and relax without worrying about his driveway falling into his pond.
