Dobson, NC – Farmhouse Floor System Stabilized

The floor system in this older Dobson, NC home has begun to settle over the years. The homeowner was prepping the home to sell and this was a problem that could not be ignored.

The Tar Heel Team stabilized the failing supports using the IntelliJack System. The galvanized steel columns are secured to the beams in the crawl space allowing for leveling and stabilization of the floor system. The home is now on the market and ready to sell.

Dobson, NC Bowing Basement Walls Stabilized

This homeowner wanted to stabilize the foundation walls, but also wanted to finish the basement down the road. Other foundation repair companies were recommending Carbon Fiber Strips, which simply arrest the movement of the wall, but cannot bring it back to a plumb position.

Our system designer offered this homeowner our Basement Wall Anchor System which permanently stabilizes the wall and can be tightened to see wall improvement overtime. Hopefully, this will one day become a beautifully finished basement thanks to our help solving the foundation issues.

Thomasville, NC- Foundation Wall Repair

Small horizontal and vertical cracks formed along this Thomasville, North Carolina basement wall. While the wall had not begun to move or bow inward, the homeowners wanted to prevent that happening by calling Tar Heel Basement Systems.

The Basement Wall Anchor System stabilized the basement wall immediately, preventing further movement of the blocks. In just one day, the installation team was able to provide the homeowners with peace of mind regarding their home’s foundation.

Clemmons, NC- Leaning Retaining Wall Stabilized

Three major components were causing this Clemmons, NC retaining wall to lean out. Tree roots, unstable backfill soil and hydrostatic pressure over the years had caused the brick wall to become a worry for the homeowners.

Tar Heel Basement Systems was able to stabilize the retaining wall using the Basement Wall Anchor method. Galvanized steel earth anchors and rods were connected to star anchors along the wall to prevent further movement. The leaning wall was immediately stabilized using Basement Wall Anchors.

High Rock, NC Lake House Made Safe and Sturdy for Renovation

This one story lake house on High Rock Lake, once a fishing cabin, is now being transformed into a vacation home. Unfortunately, the foundation of the home had been originally built incorrectly and had started to sag and slide towards a small creek connecting to the lake. Tar Heel Basement Systems offered him and his wife a price within his budget and a solution to last him years to come. Systems design specialist Sam Agnew, foreman Josh Watson and his crew worked in harmony to install 9 IntelliJacks, 7 helical piers and 1 push pier to bring the home back to a level position and create a strong and safe foundation.

Cracked Foundation Sealed Instantly with Push Piers in Winston Salem

This homeowner’s one story house in suburban Winston-Salem was experiencing some unfortunate foundation settling. It managed to pull the wall away from the window frame and create a large crack in the side of her brick walled home. With installations of both IntelliJacks and Push Piers the crack was almost immediately sealed up as the back right corner of the home was lifted to its original position. Josh Watson and his crew finished this project in two days, left the home looking beautiful and the homeowner ecstatic.

Robbins, NC – Cracked Basement Wall Stabilized

The basement of this Robbins, NC church was experiencing a large horizontal crack along their classroom wall. Having a solution that would stabilize the wall and prevent the crack from growing larger was a requirement of the church.

Tar Heel Basement Systems stabilized the cracked wall using the Carbon Fiber Wall Reinforcing System. The Fiber-Reinforced Polymer, known as Carbon Fiber, is 10 times stronger than steel and specifically designed to stabilize and prevent cracks from becoming larger along basement walls. The church now has a permanently stable basement wall in their classroom.

Winston Salem, NC – Bowing Basement Wall Stabilized!

This Winston Salem, NC home that was built in the 1960’s was having structural concerns on 1 exterior basement wall. The wall had a large horizontal and stair-step crack that was causing the cinder block and brick to bow out. The homeowners called Tar Heel Basement Systems to provide them an appropriate solution to stabilize the wall.

Tar Heel Basement Systems foundation crew installed 3 IntelliBraces™ along the bowing wall. The patented IntelliBrace™ system effectively stabilized the wall; each IntelliBrace™ is zinc-plated for resistance to corrosion. Next, the crew installed a plastic paneling that is fastened to the wall while leaving a bright, clean look and stopping water vapor from permeating the basement wall.

This Winston Salem, NC homeowner is very pleased with the finished look now that her wall is stabilized and her basement is beautiful thanks to Tar Heel Basement Systems!

Mocksville, NC – Basement Waterproofing & Basement Wall Stabilization

This home in Mocksville, NC had water leaking into his basement when it rained hard. Often times, when a basement has water intrusion, there tends to be basement structural issues as well. In this case, water had been building up along the outside of the basement wall for so long that it began to crack and bow inward.

Tar Heel Basement Systems installed their patented BasementGutter System with a SafeDri™ Triple Sump Pump System to control the water leakage. To stabilize the failing basement wall, the team installed IntelliBrace™ beams. These beams are adjustable, allowing the wall to potentially be straightened over time. This homeowner now has a dry basement and stable foundation.

Winston Salem, NC – Braced Basement Wall

This Winston Salem, NC homeowner had a failing carbon fiber system along the bowing basement wall. After many attempts at reaching out to the company that originally installed the carbon strips, and finding out the company had gone out of business, no longer honoring the carbon fiber warranty; the homeowner called Tar Heel Basement Systems for professional help.

The Tar Heel Foundation Team installed twelve (12) IntelliBraces™ along the bowing wall where the carbon strips were failing. The patented IntelliBraces™ system will stabilize the wall correctly and the heavy-duty zinc plated steel beams will not corrode like traditional I-beams. Tar Heel Basement Systems was able to completely stabilize this bowing basement wall.
