The basement in Margaret C.’s Madison, NC home used to leak during heavy rains. The crawl space was just like most typical crawl spaces in North Carolina: dirt-floored, moldy and humid. After watching Tar Heel Basement Systems commercials on TV she decided to call the company. When our system design specialist came to take a look at the problems, she also mentioned that the chimney was pulling away from the house, and was pleasantly surprised when Tar Heel Basement Systems offered her a solution for that problem as well. Our system design specialist proposed installing a new drainage system in the basement and crawl space, and a powerful sump pump system to collect ground water and divert it away from the foundation. The crawl space was then sealed to keep ground moisture and humid outside air from entering the space. A dehumidifier was installed to control moisture in the area year-round. The tilted chimney was lifted and restored to its original position with the use of helical piers.Margaret is really impressed with the customer care provided by the company all through the process, from sale to installation and beyond. She is also so happy with the results that she is eager to share her experience with others, and have been referring us to neighbors and friends ever since!
