Financial Executive of the Year Nomination

A business requires an individual in charge with financial management skills and strategic thinking in order to grow and be successful in today’s economy. Tar Heel Basement Systems Owner, Pete Burgess, exemplifies both of those characteristics which is why he received the notable nomination of The Business Journal’s 2013 Financial Executive of the Year.

Pete started the company in 2003 and has successfully developed his business into one of the most reputable home improvement companies in North Carolina. Maintaining a growing business for more than 10 years required Pete to demonstrate a commitment to fiscal integrity and accountability. Tar Heel Basement Systems has successfully increased sales and employment numbers every year since its establishment in 2003; a feat made possible by Pete’s outstanding performance as the company’s financial executive.

A cocktail reception was held at the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro on Weds., June 6th to honor the nominees. Pete attended the event and was honored by the opportunity to socialize with some of the Triad’s other top financial executives. An award dinner will be held on July 25th to announce the winner of this prestigious award.
