Tar Heel Basement Systems has proven that they are in business for the long-run. The company’s longevity has been made apparent by its loyal customer base, continuous growth and expansion, ceaseless community involvement and numerous accolades.

The “Flourish in February” the phrase initially came about as a theme for a monthly food drive at the Tar Heel Basement Systems facility. The goal of the food drive was to collect healthy foods to donate to those less fortunate, as most of the affordable foods do not contain the essential nutrients for a person’s (specifically children) body to “flourish”. Little did we know, the “flourish in February” theme would prove true in another way for Tar Heel Basement Systems. The month of February – and 2014 in general – has been noteworthy for Tar Heel Basement Systems, as the company has received (3) prestigious awards.

First, the company was recognized as one of Angie’s List’s Super Service Award Winners. This award is given to companies that have an A+ rating from customers and consistently positive reviews on Angie’s List.

Next, Tar Heel Basement Systems’ Sales Manager, William Blake, was honored as one of the Triad Business Journal’s “Forty Leaders Under 40”. This reputable award is given to the Triad’s 40 most promising and driven young professionals that make a difference in the community and inspire others to strive for greatness.

Last, and possibly the most reputable honor received by Tar Heel Basement Systems was being named as one of the United States Chamber of Commerce’s top 100 small businesses in the country.  The Blue Ribbon Small Business Award is given annually to 100 companies that represent the best in American small business.

Tar Heel Basement Systems certainly did “flourish in February”, hosting a very successful food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank and receiving multiple notable awards. “I am incredibly fortunate to run a company filled with bighearted employees that are always striving to help our customers and give back to the community.” Tar Heel Basement Systems Owner, Pete Burgess said, “I am overwhelmed with pride to receive these distinguished accolades.”
