Tar Heel Receives 2014 Small Business of the Year Honors

We are proud to announce that Tar Heel Basement Systems was named as one of Business North Carolina Magazine’s top small businesses in the state. The Small Business of the Year luncheon was held on Friday, December 5th at the Graylyn International Conference Center in Winston Salem, NC.

Thousands of small businesses across the state of North Carolina were nominated for this prestigious award and after months of deliberation, Business NC Magazine selected the four companies that they felt to be the best of the best! The four winners were Archer Advanced Rubber Components, Highland Brewing Co., Tar Heel Basement Systems & Wray Ward.

While the four companies represent completely different industries, each of them have at least one thing in common- they have each made tremendous contributions to the state’s economy. Innovation, growth, employee retention, and community service are some of the words that were used in describing each of these incredible small businesses.

All of the finalists were recognized at the award ceremony, but Highland Brewing Co. of Asheville, NC took home top winner honors. Congratulations to Highland Brewing, Archer Advanced Rubber Components & Wray Ward. It is truly an honor to be named among these great organizations as North Carolina’s top small businesses!
