This is evident by being selected as a finalist for the 2013 Sloan Awards for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility in the North Carolina worksite category. This prestigious award recognizes employers that successfully use workplace flexibility to meet both organizational and employee goals.

The North Carolina winner of the Sloan Award will be chosen at the end of June, upon completion of employee surveys. Each employee of the company is given the opportunity to fill out a survey expressing their opinion of the company’s ability to create an effective and flexible workplace. Tar Heel Basement Systems scored in the top 20%- at or above the 80th percentile of employers nationally, making them a finalist for the award in the North Carolina division.
