From the start of the initial estimate Tarheel was easy to work with. Ian and Daniel were the two guys who came to work on my crawl space and they were amazing. They both went above and beyond in what they had to do and went as far as helping with things that wasn’t their responsibility. I would recommend Tarheel to anyone.

From the time I called to request an initial revie, until the work was completed, this process was professional and convenient. Zack came and crawled around in the very tight crawl space during the initial examination and then scoped the work and cost same day with me. John C and Brian C were the service representatives performing the installation of the membrane and foam board over a two day process. These guys worked so hard and kept me informed on status the whole way. I gave 5 stars because I've had lots of service jobs performed at my home and this team and the work done exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I purchased a home only to find out after we closed that was literally falling down around us. After calling several companies and being told it was beyond the scope of what they could handle, we found Tar Heel. If I had only known then what I know now I would have saved myself so much time and stress and called Tar Heel FIRST. Paul, who came out originally, the Structural Engineer Bobbie and Ronnie the Project Manager were able to put a plan together to save our home. They genuinely treated our home like their own. The Foreman Gary Hacker and his Technicians Sam Jarvis and Dalton Brown who came out to do the work (along with Cory and Axel) were professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. My home will be able to stand for another hundred years because of their work. Thank you, Tar Heel.

I am very pleased with the service received from Tar Hill Basement and the outstanding job done by Service Tech Josh Lichtenberger. I was very pleased with this young man's professionalism, ability and customer care. He very efficiently diagnosed the problems with my sump pump and dehumidifier. He then proceeded to clean and replace/update or repair old or worn out parts. I asked a trillion questions and he very patiently explained to me my system(s) and how they worked. His commitment to go the extra mile is much appreciated. I highly recommended the company, the equipment and the service tech.

Tar Heel Basement Systems is a great company! Of course we all know a company is only as good as the people who represent it. And I must say, Jagwon and Stanley who installed my basement system clearly are proud of their product and of their company. These two men arrived on time, were extremely polite and courteous, worked hard and very fast to give me (the client) the best job possible. Jagmon spent the necessary time with me to answer all my questions and kept me in the loop so I knew what all the steps were and why they were important. My only regret is I only have one basement to do. But you can bet I will be telling my friends and neighbors where they must go for solving their basement issues…Tar Heel Basement Systems!

THANKS for sending Joel Cocker to do my yearly inspection. He was the most professional and thorough tech from ANY company I have dealt with for 41 years living in Bunn. He took pictures inside, outside and under the house. He explained everything in a manner even I could understand. His "bedside" manner was on point. On your scale of 1 to 5, Joel was an 11. The installers did an outstanding job encapsulating our crawlspace, installing a dehumidifier and sump pump. It looks lovely! Ken, Stephen, and Jael were knowledgable, courteous, personable and professional. The job was completed in 2 and a half days. They hauled away the old liners and left the site spick and span. They kept us fully updated on the process. We also appreciated their attention to detail. They supplied us with a photo of a plumbing issue under the house of which we were unaware. Thanks to their help, we can get this taken care of before it gets worse. Thank you Ken, Stephen, and Jael for your careful work.

We used Tarheel to address our foundation issues with the installation of several vertical piers. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them, start to finish. The sales process was super transparent, and prices came in MUCH lower than other providers. Other providers had made recommendations that really weren't necessary, and we really appreciated our rep, Clint, explaining everything to us in a detailed, consultive manner. Even after the sale and the work was done, he still took the time to get back to me very quickly with a couple of final questions. Our install crew, led by Josiah, I believe his name was, was fantastic. Showed up when they said they would, went over the game plan, answered all my questions, and got everything done in one day. The office staff were also very helpful and even reached out to make sure we were completely happy. I wish all of the contractors we have for home projects could operate at this level! Great work!

We had two crews at the same time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Both crews got their work done in a very reasonable time and they were on their way. Before leaving they had videos and pictures to show the crawl space improvement. These folks show up! There was very little time between the initial call and completion of the job.

How We Encapsulate Your Crawl Space
Securing a safe and dry crawl space is a detailed process. Each step in these solutions and installations is key to transforming your crawl space into an area that’s dry, clean, and contributes to your home’s energy efficiency.
Control Ground Water Seepage
What We Do
The ground around and under your house is full of water. Rain and snow saturate the soil, seep into your crawl space, and evaporates, filling the crawl space with moisture and humidity. It’s the perfect environment for mold and wood rot to eat away at the structure of your home. The first thing we do to stop this from happening is to add drainage in your crawl space to cycle out the water trying to get in.
What We Use
Change the Environment
What We Do
The next step we take to protect your crawl space from moisture is to seal it with an industrial grade vapor barrier. This will change the environment in your crawl space and keep it controlled. It will keep all the moisture trying to destroy your home from getting in through open crawl space vents, gaps in the foundation wall, and any other opening. All of these need to be encapsulated. With encapsulation from Tar Heel Basement Systems, a healthier, more stable home is finally possible.
What We Use
Properly Insulate the Home
What We Do
Imagine you left your front door open all winter long. That’s what it’s like without a properly insulated crawl space. With your crawl space and subfloor exposed to the elements, your floor will get cold, and then you’ll see your energy bills climb as your heating overworks itself. That’s why Tar Heel Basement Systems installs insulation blocks that resists moisture and mold, keep your home warm, and your energy bills low.
