We heard about Tarheel Basement Systems through some local radio advertisements on 2 Guys Named Chris – called and met with a very knowledgeable company representative. We decided to get some much needed basement/crawl space work done and are very happy with the finished result. The number one thing we have noticed besides the dry basement is that our air quality inside our house is so much better. That alone was worth having the work done, not having to worry about moisture and mold are just added benefits. Thank you, the process from start to finish was very smooth and the crew was very professional and did a wonderful job!

The the professional manner in which every part of the team approached the job at hand was far above my expectations. The Foreman, Shane English introduced his team Evan Boswell and Jaziah Christ to me. They were courteous, hard working, kept the job site clean and organized. They were very timely arriving at job site. No waiting on my part. They ask me several times if I had any questions. And they placed items back where they needed to be. I have several other projects in mind for Tarheel Basement Solutions. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your projects.

First I met with Jeff about Crawlspace encapsulation. He discovered 2 rotten floor Joice. Replacement of those as well as encapsulation was very reasonable. They sent out Andy and Elijah who were very efficient and considerate. The other half of the space was an open basement area. The main front wall was so wet mortar was easing out. Jeff recommended a french drain with a pump. Edward and Jeremy were not only respectful but explained every step . Thank you Tarheel Basement Crew !!

This review applies only to the person, Lisa, that helped complete our project. Our encapsulation project took over a year and a half to complete. It was a long process of phone calls not returned, emails not answered, and follow up not done. But, once Lisa became my contact, she made sure that everything was done when it was supposed to be done. That included multiple trips to fix problems found in inspections, multiple county inspections, and a refund for electrical work that I paid for twice. When Lisa said it would happen, it did. What a refreshing change from the previous 16 months. Great job, Lisa!

So beyond pleased with Tarheel Basement Systems! I'm a 2-year customer as of this week. A complete encapsulation, french drains, sump pump and dehumidifier. I receive an inspection each year around this time, my representative was John Snow, was amazing, so polite, punctual, kept me up to date on his arrival via text and phone, it was so pleasant seeing someone who "gets" customer service , and John does! He informed me my dehumidifier was not working, and would be replaced under warranty, and like clockwork as John said, he replaced it today! The easiest replacement ever, he arrived worked diligently, above and beyond! Again, beyond pleased!

Today Joel came out to answer a question I had about the dehumidifier. He answered my question, AND did a full reinspection of the space and equipment, just to make sure everything was right! My first point of contact with THBS was Pete Horak and I am so thankful it was. I have now been working with John Cotten who was first my Groundworks SALES REP and is.now functioning as my PROJECT MANAGER. He has the second role as a result of the exceptional job he did in the initial role. Needless to say, agreeing to a complete crawlspace encapsulation was not an easy sell. It was a big budget, unplanned project that I resisted doing . But due to the thoroughness of John’s investigation of my issues and complete and detailed plan that addressed every one of my concerns, it was difficult to not move ahead. John knows the business of foundations- the problems and how to resolve them. His communication skills and desire to help his clients save their homes couple to create a dialog that is engaging, informative and even comforting when knowing the end result will be a better home. And after the sale, he is always reachable, responsive and makes me feel he is not only working for Groundworks, but also for me!!

Tarheel basement systems did an awesome fixing the foundation at my house. The crew that came out to my house (Adam Canter, Ryan Oldman, and Jayden Watlington) where very professional, well mannered, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained things in an easy to understand kinda way. I can't believe there was ever an issue with my foundation to begin with. They did such a good job and cleaned up well behind them that i had to look to find the repair. I will definitely recommend them to people in the future.

We had the crawlspace sealed back in 2020. Recently we decided to complete the crawlspace project by having the insulation removed from the floor joists as well as having insulation board installed on the concrete cinderblock, collectively known as "finishing the crawlspace". Well, I must say, Groundworks sent me the A-team: Sam, Josh and Kim. These folks were efficient, courteous and clearly knew what they were doing. They you guys and gal!!! It looks great!

Ian, Justin, and Clemente installed new supports in our crawl space to fix our sagging floor. They were on time, professional, and personable, and most importantly they worked fast and clean. They fixed our floors without any damage or mess. You would never have known they were here other than the once visible gaps and cracks at our baseboard or doorways are now gone or greatly reduced. Austin G, Tremaine and Chris O. came out, added 4 permanent jacks under the house and made a significant difference to our home in about 4 hours time! The kitchen door swings through the frame again. All three guys were very nice and fun to work with as we helped watch each jack level portions of the floor. I was a bit nervous before the job began but very happy we did it now!

I had THBS encapsulate the crawlspace in my Raleigh home this past week. Charles, DJ, and Leonard did an amazing job! They were timely, efficient, clear communicators, and the quality of the work is outstanding. I work from home, had been having significant issues with mold exposure over the past 1.5yrs, and only recently realized what it was. Since last week I am having no further symptoms of mold exposure and my house has rapidly gotten back to normal. 54% humidity in house, and 54% in crawlspace as I type. Used to have to wear a respirator to go in crawlspace before encapsulation. I highly recommend them, and will probably have them level my driveway next! I cannot thank them enough.

If you need foundation work done, do yourself a favor and request Jay Yount at Tar Heel Basements. I had several companies come out, and Jay was the only one who approached my sagging floor issues with real expertise and a no-nonsense attitude. He spent hours carefully analyzing the problem and provided an honest, straightforward assessment with zero pressure. It's clear he takes pride in his work and values doing things the right way. I recently had a drain and sump pump added to my basement garage. The process was simple and easy from getting them estimate to the work completed. The 3 gentlemen Ken, Stephen and Michael T. called when they were on the way. When they arrived, they introduced themselves and walked me through what was going to be done. The work was done quickly and there was no mess left behind, just a great system that has dried out my basement garage wall and gotten rid of the smell.

Personable kept me informed diligently did their work. Ate lunch in the truck let me know when they were on the way and arrived. Asked me if I had questions. Went over the work they did showed me pictures. Explained. They never said anything bad about the one that previously did 30k worth of work. These young men worked hard under the house all day long. My home is like new again. Can I adopt you young men? I commend you for your work ethic and integrity. I'm so grateful. Thank you. Floors are even my cabinets do not have space between them and the ceiliing. Doors are even. Whoop hoo. They replaced joists and made my house solid forever.

The specific project is floor stabilization with minor lift but that isn't an option so i picked encapsulation instead (which K do intend to gave Tar Heel do, down the line). Jay Yount was great salesperson and Ceritified Field Inspector. Foreman David P and crew mates Ernesto "Nestor" and James C were knowledgeable and efficient, arrived on time and got the job done in two days. Results of the floor stabilization were communicated to me clearly before, during and after the work was performed. All my expectations were at least met. Would definitely recommend Tar Heel to friends and family.

They were punctual, called before arrival and all were friendly and appeared to be Jgenuinely glad to do the job. Justin explained what they would be doing and answered all questions before starting work. His team was efficient and completed the job much faster than we anticipated. Justin was very diligent in making sure our floors were leveled to his and our satisfaction and we were very pleased to see cracks between the ceiling and wall disappear. The team from Groundworks – Nick Perfitti, Isaiah Brooks, and Hunter Okonsky – came in and got the whole job done in three days! Plus, they were totally professional and courteous as well. So I spent a LOT of money to ensure my crawl space was properly protected and encapsulated. I had both Charles and DJ who worked non stop to complete the entire job within a day. They did an excellent job and helped me inspect the crawl space myself (yes I crawled around, sheesh!) These guys were hard working, thoughtful and diligent!
