Photo Album: Moisture and Wood Rot in Blowing Rock Crawl Space

Album Description

The homeowners were gone all summer and hadn't been in their crawl space for a few months. When they returned they noticed there was a thin, plastic liner in part of the crawlspace that had moisture and possibly mold or mildew underneath it. Also, the wooden platform that the water heater sits on was rotting and there was efflorescence on the walls, which signifies water intrusion. Tar Heel Basement Systems installed a CrawlSeal encapsulation system to keep this mountain home healthy and dry.
