Tar Heel Basement Systems was more than happy to be a corporate sponsor for such a meaningful event; registering a four-some, making a monetary donation and providing a gift to all of the golfers in the tournament.

Pete & Will's Tar Heel Basement Systems was sure to help with the cause by registering a team and sponsoring a golf hole. Pete Burgess, Anthony Cass, Josh Schoenfield and Herman Massengill were the four golfers to represent the company and had a great time playing the Linville Falls course.

Pete & Will's Tar Heel Basement Systems received Honorable Mention in the 11-99 employee category for the Ethics Award. Holding an A+ rating with the BBB for 8 years, Pete proudly accepted the honor from David Dalrymple, President and CEO of the BBB of Northwest North Carolina.

Since 2012, Tar Heel Basement Systems has grown from 10 to 35 employees and holds regular meetings with all team members in its commitment to provide superb customer service.

It was a celebration at Pete & Will's Tar Heel Basement Systems, as the office staff prepared a birthday surprise for Will Blake. Yesterday marked the 29th birthday of our general manager, and we made sure to pull out all the stops.

The 14th annual Boone Chamber of Commerce Spelling Bee for Grown Ups was held on Tuesday, March 19th. The sprightly event was conducted at Watauga County High School to promote education in the High Country. All proceeds went to advancing the work of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and benefit the Watauga Education Foundation’s participation in the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program.

March 17th marked the 3rd Annual "Luck O' The Lassie" spring fundraising event for Girls on the Run of the High Country. The event was held at the Best Cellar/Inn at Ragged Gardens in Blowing Rock, NC and consisted of wine tasting, heavy hors d'oeuvres, a live auction and presentation to honor the late Leigh Cooper Wallace.

Tar Heel Basement Systems Owner, Pete Burgess, visited his Daughter and family in Colorado Springs, CO. last week. Pete's son-in-law works for United States Olympic Committee and was able get the group in to tour the US Olympic Training center, which is located there.

The Tar Heel Basement System family wants to congratulate their January Salesman of the Month, Sam Agnew.

This past weekend the High Country received close to two feet of torrential rain followed by nearly a foot of snowfall! While many people were burdened by the unpredictable weather, the kids of the company couldn't wait to play in it.

The office staff at Tar Heel Basement Systems received a breath of fresh air when a bundle of joy stopped by the office for a few days. Office Manager, Sydney Blake, gave birth to beautiful baby boy, Evan, last September and has not spent a day away from him until this week.

Tar Heel Basement Systems has joined the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce in hopes of making a positive impact on the local economy. Their partnership with the Chamber will not only strengthen the company by allowing them to establish relationships in the community, but it will also help to encourage others to join by “giving back” locally.

The Tar Heel Basement Systems team started 2013 off with a bang! On January 10th and 11th, we came together as one for our big Kick-Off Event hosted at our headquarters in Boone, North Carolina. Inspectors, crew members, and office staff traveled from near and far to gather for this 2-day convention. The theme: Strength In Numbers!

The Home Builders Association of Winston Salem held their monthly Membership Meeting and Board Installation on Tuesday, November, 27 at Wake Forest University's Deacon Tower. Four members of the Tar Heel Basement Systems team were in attendance to support the organization and new Board Members.
