Tarheel Basement was on location within 48 hours of our Web inquiry. Tarheel Basement showed up within two weeks and installed a sump pump in our crawlspace and two jacks on our main beam. Crews were professional and kept a clean work area during their two days at our residence. David P, James C, and Michael J all took time and discussed the entire process with my wife and myself. I highly recommend Tarheel Basements for all your basement and crawlspace needs.

We heard about Tarheel Basement Systems through some local radio advertisements on 2 Guys Named Chris – called and met with a very knowledgeable company representative. We decided to get some much needed basement/crawl space work done and are very happy with the finished result. The number one thing we have noticed besides the dry basement is that our air quality inside our house is so much better. That alone was worth having the work done, not having to worry about moisture and mold are just added benefits. Thank you, the process from start to finish was very smooth and the crew was very professional and did a wonderful job!

Josiah, the foreman, and his fellow colleagues, Gustavo and Rodrigo, did an excellent job in transforming our crawlspace from a dark, dirty and damp space, into a space I no longer will be afraid or worried to go into if the need arises. They were all three very friendly and polite! If one could recommend a business because of it’s employees I definitely would do so. They went out of their way to do a good job and treat 2 old ladieswith respect and kindness. (They also took junk away from under the house that had been there for over 50 years!)It was also Rodrigo’s birthday and he even let us sing Happy Birthday to him!I would recommend this company gor crawlspace work if anyone should ask me especially because of it’s workers!

We would highly recommend Groundworks. Our crawl space was showing signs of deterioration. The insulation was beginning to droop and hold moisture. We were concerned this would damage our floor joists at some point. We are so thankful for Certified Field Inspector Jay Yount. He spent more than an hour inspecting our crawl space and making recommendations as well as presenting proposals to work with our budget. Jonathan Ruiz, Julian Bruno Bernal and Roy Ruiz were highly qualified and professional on site. They kept us informed throughout the process and delivered high quality results. We are very pleased with the results.

Incredible experience working with Groundworks (formerly known as Tarheel Basement)- they were incredibly responsive and easy to work with, and saved the day for my clients with a major repair needed on their home to sell. Not only was their customer service awesome, but they were priced significantly better than other foundation companies. Matt Cotte worked directly with me and was such a huge help in determining the best route for my clients to take repair wise on a large scale project. He was quick to come out and provide multiple quotes and explain them in thorough detail. I received multiple updates throughout the process for peace of mind and clarity. I cannot recommend Groundworks enough!

We had some downspouts installed. I’ll admit the first work that was done was apparently done incorrectly by one of the installers because we had worse problems and the work in general is not what I expected. (Based on previous and unrelated work by the same company). However, once it was brought to the company’s attention they responded quickly and stood behind their commitment and returned to handle repairs correctly. So far we are pleased with the repaired work..esthetically. We will need some rain before I can speak to resolution success.

We contacted Tarheel Basement Systems because, despite the fact that our home in Stokesdale was only 2 years old, it had a musty smell and shockingly we were beginning to see some mold spots on and around vents and in closets, including clothes. They sent out a representative (Harlan) promptly, on a Saturday, who inspected the crawl space, took readings of humidity in the wood and the insulation and overall air, took schematics of the crawl space, and plenty of pictures. He discussed the cost and options with us, taking his time, including financing options. He was extremely thorough, and we agreed on the scope of the work and cost. They initiated the project, with Jacob C and Terrence A arriving at our home early in the morning. Jacob and Terrence were extremely courteous and professional, dropped off some initial documentation, and got to work. I did not have to be home but was able to work from home for the duration of their visit and I can tell you that they worked hard for two days beginning early in the day until late afternoon. Other than leaving for home after Day 1, they did not leave the site and took minimal break time during the entire duration of their stay. Peeking out from time-to-time they took their time cutting the materials to size, and when the project was over recapped with me what they had done. My wife and I are extremely appreciative of Jacob C, Terrence A, Harlan, and the entire team at Tar Heel Basement Systems and would not hesitate to enlist them again!

Ken Decamp, the project foreman, demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise throughout the process. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring that every aspect of the job was executed flawlessly did not go unnoticed. Ken was always available to address any concerns I had and provided clear, concise answers that made me feel confident in the work being done. Michael Thompson and Stephen Foster were equally impressive in their roles as the installation crew. Their craftsmanship and dedication to quality were evident in the meticulous work they performed. They approached each task with a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. It was evident that they take great pride in their work, and their professionalism contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. I would also like to commend Tim Martin, my sales representative, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout the entire process. Tim’s knowledge of the products and services offered by Tarheel Basement Systems was invaluable, and he took the time to ensure that I fully understood all aspects of the project. He was proactive in addressing my needs and concerns, and his follow-up was consistent and reassuring. Tim truly acted as an advocate for me, ensuring that my interests were prioritized at every stage. In conclusion, my experience with Tarheel Basement Systems has been outstanding, thanks to the professionalism and dedication of Ken Decamp, Michael Thompson, Stephen Foster, and Tim Martin. Their commitment to providing exceptional service is a testament to the values of the company. I highly recommend Tarheel Basement Systems to anyone seeking reliable, professional basement solutions. Their team exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond for their customers.

Tar Heel Basement Systems helped me after damage from Hurricane Helene. They showed up when scheduled, on time each day and finished when they promised they would. They were extremely professional and communicated with me throughout the entire project. I am very happy with the service and the quality of the work. Nate Griffin, James Passmore, Noe Gomez, Justin Clayton, Billy Noyola, John Reavis and everyone else associated with the project did an excellent job. I have no hesitations in recommending them.

We had 2 segments of work done: (1) adding piers to the front foundation of our house, and (2) adding a beam and some piers in the crawlspace to a center section of the house to better support some interior walls. We were very impressed by everyone at Tar Heel Basement Systems from beginning to end – from the initial analysis and proposal to the actual work to follow-up. John Reavis was very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable when he performed the initial site visit and put together a proposal for us. He was also very good about following up and communicating in general. Both crews who did the work were very confident, professional, and courteous. They really seemed like they knew what they were doing and took their time to make sure it was done right. They also were very good about communicating arrival times and progress on the 2 projects. Everyone we spoke with at the office was very helpful during the whole process. In particular, we had multiple interactions with Morgan about scheduling, arranging payment, and follow-up paperwork. We had some bad weather when the work was originally scheduled to be done, but everyone stayed in touch with us and made rescheduling easy. Tar Heel might be more expensive than some other options, but this is a case where you truly get what you pay for. We can't imagine anyone doing a better job.

Tarheel basement systems did an awesome fixing the foundation at my house. The crew that came out to my house (Adam Canter, Ryan Oldman, and Jayden Watlington) where very professional, well mannered, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained things in an easy to understand kinda way. I can't believe there was ever an issue with my foundation to begin with. They did such a good job and cleaned up well behind them that i had to look to find the repair. I will definitely recommend them to people in the future.

The the professional manner in which every part of the team approached the job at hand was far above my expectations. The Foreman, Shane English introduced his team Evan Boswell and Jaziah Christ to me. They were courteous, hard working, kept the job site clean and organized. They were very timely arriving at job site. No waiting on my part. They ask me several times if I had any questions. And they placed items back where they needed to be. I have several other projects in mind for Tarheel Basement Solutions. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your projects.

Best company ever. So conscientious. They understand your home is your biggest asset and any problems with it can induce great anxiety. Tyler was my technician at my annual inspection last week. He was on time (on the dot!) and very, very thorough. I appreciate this company that saw me through an extremely trying process in the best of times. At the time of the original basement restoration (2021), I was in the midst of terrible person trouble and they stuck with me until the end of the project. KUDOS to THBS and Tyler! Cannot recommend them enough and frequently do recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work.

I asked for crawl space clean up. Time Martin explained process in detail, what to expect, timing for job completion. Brian, along with Tyler and Roy, did a great job. What was impressive was the communication of when they would arrive and when they were leaving. I decided on a complete encapsulation. Extremely pleased with the work. And the follow up from the office to confirm I was pleased with the job.
