Foundation damage can cause problems in more ways than one. It might lower the value of your home, cause issues with doors and windows, or even cause structural damage to walls and floors. Regardless of what problems come from foundation damage, it always pays to fix them, and Tar Heel has the tools to help.

Our Foundation Repair Solutions

Since foundation damage is often caused by soil issues, our repair solutions address these problems directly. In this section, we’ll outline some of our most common foundation repair solutions.

Crew installing push piers

Pier Systems

Piers are long galvanized steel rods that properly redistribute the weight of your home and remove problematic soil from the equation. They provide your foundation with new, stronger support. Piers come in three varieties:

In order to achieve this, the piers are inserted into load-bearing soils deep below the ground that are unaffected by weather, drought, or construction. These deep soils are immensely strong thanks to their right compaction, so the weight of your foundation becomes well supported and unmovable. Plus, any open cracks can close as the foundation returns to its original position.

wall anchors

Wall Anchors

Wall anchors also take advantage of strong soils deep below the ground to stabilize your foundation. This tool is often used to repair cracked or bowing basement walls that have been affected by hydrostatic pressure, but they also work with other foundation types.

Wall anchors are installed beneath the soil and extend horizontally into load-bearing soils. Much like piers, these tools can close any open cracks and straighten your bowing walls over time, and offer unwavering support to your foundation.
